    The Mid-Michigan Children’s Museum (MMCM) is seeking an organized, creative, and driven Marketing Coordinator who possesses a passion for and commitment to enriching the lives of children and families through play at our museum.

    The Marketing Coordinator reports to the President & CEO. The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for a wide range of activities to facilitate the successful promotion of Museum activities.


    Support of the Organization

    • Update the website and social media to promote all Museum events and recognize donor contributions
    • Create and manage production of collateral including brochures, handouts, and web publications
    • Create and manage production of collateral for all special events and fundraising events
    • Schedule and attend outreach events to share museum events and information with the wider public
    • Coordinate information for Annual Report under the direction of the CEO
    • Prepare annual meeting PowerPoint presentation
    • Prepare monthly e-newsletter
    • Distribute media releases

    Other Essential Support:

    • Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work practices and instructions
    • Performs other duties as assigned

    Physical Demands:

    • Requires sitting for periods of time working with computer, standing, and walking periodically
    • Employee may need to lift or move 10 to 20 pounds during a workday 

    Required Qualifications and Skills 

    • Education and/or experience equivalent to position requirements
    • Minimum of two years of experience in administrative and/or marketing role
    • Exceptional verbal and written interpersonal communication skills
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, and Word Press
    • Excellent attention to detail while setting priorities, meeting critical deadlines, and flexibly solving problems in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
    • Extremely organized and self-driven
    • Customer-focused, hospitable personality
    • Ability to contribute to an atmosphere of teamwork and positive energy among staff and volunteers

    • Requires flexibility with some nights and weekends

    The full-time (40 hours/week) Marketing Coordinator will primarily work Monday – Friday with the exception of supervising Museum operations one weekend per month. This position is offering hourly compensation commensurate with experience. The Mid-Michigan Children’s Museum offers flexible scheduling and paid-time off.
